The Heart of the Jaguar
We are living in a time that many traditions have spoken of—a time of great shifting. A time when the possibility of creating the world so many of us have dreamed of, a world rooted in love, cooperation, and respect for life, feels closer than ever.
This is our time.
This is the people’s time.
It is time to rise out of fear and separation and return to our hearts. It is time to remember ourselves, to remember our connection with one another, and to remember our connection with the living planet that holds us.
Everything around us is our relation.
We are in relationship with the earth, the animals, the waters, the air, and with every person we meet along the way. When we remember this, something powerful awakens inside of us—the understanding that we are not powerless observers of the world around us. We are participants in shaping it.
Each of us carries the ability to influence the future through the choices we make, the kindness we offer, and the courage we bring to our lives.
We can wait for someone else to fix things, to save us, or to show us the way forward. Or we can recognize that the change we long for in the world begins with us.
We are the ones who must choose it.
One morning I woke up and realized something simple. If I want to live in a world filled with connection, love, cooperation, and humanity, then I must be willing to create those things wherever I go.
So that is what I am doing.
Through the Heart of the Jaguar Tour, I am traveling from community to community creating simple spaces where people can gather, share stories, drum, listen, and remember that we belong to one another.
Small circles. Open hearts.
Moments where we remember that beneath our differences we are still one human family.
The jaguar walks through darkness with courage.
The open heart reminds us that love is stronger than fear.
And so wherever we gather, we will stand together, place our hands over our hearts, and speak a simple truth:
I choose connection over fear.
From these small circles, something beautiful begins to grow.
Hope.
Belonging.
Humanity remembering itself.
You can watch my YouTube video explaining more about what I am doing here.

Host a Heart of the Jaguar Gathering
The Heart of the Jaguar: Open Heart Tour
April – June 2026
Across the deserts, mountains, and small towns of the Southwest, a quiet movement is unfolding.
The Heart of the Jaguar: Open Heart Tour is a journey dedicated to one simple idea:
Connection is stronger than fear.
In a time when many people feel divided, uncertain, or alone, this tour is about creating spaces where people can come together again as human beings — to share stories, sit in circle, drum, listen, and remember the goodness that still exists in the world.
These gatherings are not performances or workshops.
They are community circles.
Real conversations.
Open hearts.
Moments of humanity remembering itself.
Bring the Jaguar to Your Community
I am traveling from Austin, Texas to Mt. Shasta, California, stopping in communities along the way to host simple gatherings rooted in connection, reflection, and ceremony.
If something in your heart lights up reading this, you may be exactly the person who can help bring one of these circles to your town.
Hosting a gathering simply means helping create a welcoming space where people can come together for an evening of:
• storytelling
• connection
• shamanic drumming
• reflection
• community
No previous experience is needed.
Just a willingness to open a door for people to gather.
What Hosting Looks Like
Most gatherings are intimate and relaxed, usually 15–30 people sitting in a circle.
Hosts typically help by providing:
• a comfortable space for people to gather
• seating in a circle (chairs, cushions, or floor seating)
• space for a simple potluck or shared food afterward
These gatherings can happen in many kinds of places:
• living rooms
• yoga studios
• community spaces
• retreat centers
• bookstores
• backyards or outdoor land
The atmosphere is simple, welcoming, and human.
Energy Exchange
These gatherings are donation-based.
Contributions help support the journey from one community to the next as the tour travels across the Southwest.
There will also be a small table with:
• copies of my books
• a place for donations
• a reflection station
The reflections people leave will travel with me throughout the journey and I will be doing something very special with them at the end of the tour.
Why This Matters
We are living through a moment in history when many people feel the pull toward fear, division, and isolation.
But something deeper is also happening.
People are longing for real connection.
They want spaces where they can speak honestly, listen deeply, and remember that despite our differences, we still belong to one human family.
These circles are a small way of helping that remembering happen.
A Little About Me
My name is Virginia Underwood, founder of Two Jaguar Journeys.
My work weaves together storytelling, ceremony, and the wisdom of lived experience. I have spent many years creating spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, with each other, and with the living world around us.
The Heart of the Jaguar Tour grew out of a simple realization:
If we want a world filled with connection, kindness, and cooperation, then we have to begin creating those spaces ourselves.

The Invitation
The jaguar walks through darkness with courage.
The open heart reminds us that love is still stronger than fear.
Together, we can create small circles of connection that ripple outward into the world.
And sometimes that is exactly how change begins.
